Luca Vuillermet shows the one handed backflip. He starts with an overhand grip on the front handle and reaches around with his hand the highest point of the jump (when the board is upside down). He has to catch the handle to avoid losing the wing.

It can get tricky if the wing doesn't stay downwind. In the video, a tip swings to windward and Luca's foil rushes past the wing by a hair's breadth. Only the edge of the board touches the front tube.
