Backflip one-handed

Nia Suardiaz shows the backflip in the one-handed version. A riding technique clip in slow motion and edited for both riding directions.

Important when gripping the boom: The back hand grips the boom with an underhand grip before the jump so that the wing can be held during the rotation and the arm does not twist. The hand must be placed correctly so that the wing remains balanced during the jump.

The board does not rotate completely upside down over Nia, but sideways upwind. This allows the wing (downwind) and foil (upwind) to get out of each other's way.
