Backloop Spin

Raley with body spin

The backloop spin (also called palau) in this execution by Mar de Arce at the GWA World Cup in Jericoacoara could almost be described as a raley with body spin. During the jump, the wing continues to fly in the original direction of travel, while the body performs a frontside turn in an almost horizontal position.

This looks a little more radical than the normal backloop spin, which is jumped high into the wind more like a backloop and the body turns in a crouched position. Compare these explanations of the backloop spin.
