It is important to pay attention to the grip position of the hands. The backloop spin is started with the rear hand in an underhand grip. During the rotation, the front hand reaches under the rear hand and grips again at the front — also in an underhand grip. Then, while still in flight, the rear hand releases and switches to an overhand grip.
