Deflate and pack wing
The leash trick
In this tutorial, Klaas Voget demonstrates a trick that will make rolling up your wing easier. Specifically, it addresses the problem of the already rolled side unrolling again when packing the wing.
This happens because the air takes the path of least resistance when the second side is rolled up. Instead of escaping through the small valve opening, the air pushes its way back into the tube of the already rolled side, thereby unrolling it again.
The solution: use the leash
Klaas shows how to use the leash to prevent the rolled-up side from unrolling: the leash is first passed around the rolled-up side and then placed under the wing towards the other side. This way, you can quickly pack the wing with the already rolled-up side clamped in place.
When rolling up and packing the wing, always make sure that there are no sharp objects under the wing.
