Extreme Carve

Turn so sharply that the foil cuts through the surface of the water

Extreme carving is always fun - with surfboards on a wave, with snowboards on snow and, of course, when flying through the water with a foil. However, carving while foiling is much more difficult, as you are standing on the board a mast length (a good 3/4 meter) away from the medium you want to carve through.

So what do you need to consider if you want to carve extremely? This video from the Duotone Wing Academy shows the extreme carve, where the front wing of the foil cuts through the surface of the water. In technical jargon, this is called breaching. Stefan Spiessberger demonstrates the riding technique.
