Foot control for wingfoiling
This video shows how you control your board when wingfoiling. Before you start jibing or tacking, you should first practise turning.
Using your feet to steer means you can control the board by shifting your weight onto your toes or heels. To do this, both feet should be as centrally positioned as possible on the board. Your centre of gravity should also remain centered above the board (unlike in windsurfing or kitesurfing, where you lean far to windward to counteract the pulling force of the sail or kite).
The board is steered by applying pressure to the feet (shifting your body weight onto your toes or heels). Try to steer very gentle s-turns. At the beginning, sart with slight curves. Once you can control them, try steeper turns, e.g. 45 degrees out and into the wind.
The wing is opened or closed accordingliy to provide support.
