Front Loop

Forward loop by Riccardo Zorzi

In this shot filmed from the front, you can clearly see the difference to the frontflip. In the front loop, the body is never above the wing.

The rotation is jumped sideways. First the body turns sideways to leeward, then with a strong pull on the back hand even with the back in front. The wing is pulled behind almost like a brake parachute and follows the body through the rotation.

A compact body posture accelerates the rotation and the body is stretched again for the landing - on the one hand to slow down the rotation and on the other to intercept the touchdown.
