Heelside Jibe Ducked

Henning Nockel shows the heineken jibe

A tutorial on the heineken jibe, which can also be technically correctly named heelside jibe ducked, as in this tutorial by Duotone. The original namesake of the jibe is Johnny Heineken.

Henning Nockel shows a casual variation here, he takes his hand off the back grip early and guides the wing one handed behind his head. When learning, you can hold on for longer and only release your hand when the strut is behind your head.

Heelside = When initiating the jibe, you stand on the board with your feet in the normal position and your heels facing the wind.

Ducked = you duck under the wing, the strut is led over the head to the back.

When riding the turn, guide the wing forwards along the outside of the turn with one hand and change the grip just before exiting the turn. Looks stylish - copying is highly recommended!
