Jibe - no-handed

Hands-free jibing

Good wings almost float by themselves. You can use these flying characteristics to let go of the wing for a brief moment during a jibe — as shown here in the video for the handle change.

To do this, hold the wing with your rear hand on the leading edge handle and lift it into the air as you drop into the turn. The wing drifts downwind, and you foil directly behind it.

This allows you to pull the wing out of the air at any time to complete the jibe – and your no-handed jibe is done.
