Melon Grab
Rail grab when jumping
Jumping with one hand and grabbing the windward rail is the melon grab. To be more precise, in the melon grab the front hand reaches down to the heelside rail, at a position between the feet. The legs are pulled up and the board is tweaked. Henning Nockel shows this jump in this video.
To be able to jump one handed, the hand on the handle of the wing must first be placed in a position that allows one handed holding. This doesn't work with every wing.
After the take-off, bend your legs and grab the rail with your front hand. By stretching the front leg, you can twist the board a little more.
