Riding backwinded

Foiling in leeward position of the wing

In this video you can see how to get from a normal into the backwinded riding position with a turn, foiling with the wing held back, even mastering a stall, and return to the normal riding position with a turn into the wind.

The most important trick with the backwind ride is to tilt the lower wing tip slightly backwards (the back hand holds the wing slightly higher than the front hand). This makes it easier to push the wing against the wind.

As always with our clips, this backwinded riding video is also in slow motion and prepared for both directions of riding.
