Switch Wingpass Tack
Change grip behind the back
During this tack, you switch the handle behind your back. This works best with a hip leash, because otherwise you have to lift the leash over your head, as shown here.
Here, the leash is attached to the rear arm, which grabs the leading edge handle when luffing and then transfers it to the other hand. The other hand grabs from below, but then switches to an overhand grip. The arm with the leash on the wrist must lift it above the head and can then grab the boom of the wing again.
High speed before the switch wing pass tack helps to fly through the turn to windward.
