Turn into the wave face

This tutorial shows how to foil a turn in front of or against a wave. Once you have decided to ride a wave that is rolling in, you can ride a turn on the wave face.

The wave can be used as a steep turn, the wave face accelerates the ride on the foil. The steeper angle of the water surface should be taken into account, the board must be tilted more into the turn. The acceleration in the second half of the tack happens as if by itself, because the wave pushes hard.

A quick tack before a wave that is too big can also be used to escape (if you will not manage to foil over it).
