Tweaked Jump
Jumping with the board at right angles to the direction of flight
Jumping and positioning the board at right angles to the direction of flight in the air - this tutorial shows the tweaked jump when wing foiling.
If you can do the basic wing foiling jump, you can show a little more style with the tweaked jump. Tweaked means that the board is slightly twisted in the air. The board is positioned in the air at right angles to the direction of flight, similar to a whip when mountain biking.
To do this, jump normally, pull your legs together and then push the back leg through in the direction of the jump. This movement pushes the tail forward, with the nose pointing into the wind. Try to jump as high as possible so that you have more time in the air to turn the board.
The board is turned back again for landing. This will not work immediately at first, but you will gradually gain control over the tweaking. In this video, Stefan Spiessberger demonstrates the technique for the tweak jump with the wing foil board.
