Tweaked Jump

Twist the board when jumping

Before you think about jumping rotations when wing foiling, you can prepare for them with jumps such as the tweaked jump. In this jump, the board is turned into the wind with the nose (or even a little further until the tail points in the direction of flight).

The jump is actually quite easy: aim for a small wave for the take-off, pull both legs in and then extend the back leg forwards. The upper body looks in the direction of flight while the board is turned sideways.

Pay attention to the wing in the video. As soon as the board is turned upwind with the nose after the take-off, turn and push the wing back in the original direction of travel with outstretched arms. This is necessary in order to have good leverage for turning the board back.

The landing approach is simple: pull the outstretched rear leg back and push the other leg forward. The board turns back in the original direction of travel as if on a plate. Touchdown - done.
