Walk the Dog
Let the wing hover on the leash
And you've missed it again... if you miss a handle and reach beside the handle, the wing will drift off to leeward and will only be connected to the foiler's arm (or waist belt) via the leash.
Now don't lose your cool and make sure you keep foiling, because a well-designed wing should float smoothly in the air even when guided only by the leash. Try it out on land in an open space.
You can get back to the handle by pulling on the leash. The same technique can be used as a deliberate trick: walking the dog is the name given to letting the wing float on the leash, as demonstrated here by Henning Nockel.
