Wingpass Jibe

Swing the wing around behind the back

The Wingpass Jibe is ridden in switch stance (toeside). When initiating the jibe, the front hand lets go and the wing swings around behind the back within the radius of the turn, held only by the back hand.

As soon as the front tube points upwind, you have to blindly catch the front handle behind your back in order to guide the wing in a controlled manner. If you reach past the handle, you will almost certainly go swimming.

The rest of the move is more or less a switch stance heineken jibe. Guide the wing in the outer radius of the turn and change the grip it afterwards.

Here you can see a tutorial from the Wing Academy, in which Henning Nockel demonstrates the wingpass jibe.
