Starboard Source wing
Wing for training and wing foil beginners
Get up & Go – Starboard aims to make getting started with wingsurfing easier and accelerate learning progress with its model called Source. A boom wing featuring plenty of lift, large windows, a very short wingspan, and wing tips that curve inward is designed to help beginners on wing surf and wing foil boards experience success more quickly.
Starboard’s goal was to create a wing that’s easy to handle, and the Source wing is designed to deliver. Four sizes (2.5, 3.5, 5.0, and 6.0 m2) in a red/gray/white color scheme are available for 799 to 1049 Euro.
The 5.0 has a wingspan of just around 280 centimeters, making it ultra-compact. The final tube element at the wing tip, which curves inward, is designed to prevent the wing from dipping into the water during wing-pumping maneuvers. The weight without the boom is 2.4 kg, which is good for a robustly constructed beginner wing.
