WOTS One Hour Competition 2026
Four events in northern Germany
This is how regattas should be: free of charge for U19 riders and a small entry fee for everyone else. The 'Winger of the Sea' series will feature a one-hour format across four events this year. Riders will race for one hour around a buoy course, and the one with the most foiled laps wins.
You have a choice when participating: start in the slalom or racing - the courses are set accordingly, e.g., a figure-eight slalom around two buoys or a racing course with upwind and downwind legs. Open to all classes - the choice of equipment is up to you.
The focus is on having fun, and the competition is open to anyone who just wants to race against others. There are also different categories (Rookies, Women, U19, U16). Points for the DWFV annual rankings are also awarded.
The first event will take place on April 18 (with April 19 as a spare date) on Lake Dümmer. If there is no wind on that date, it will be held a week later.
In early May, a WOTS One Hour Edition will be held in Strande near Kiel, followed by two more events at the end of May at the Foil Festival on Fehmarn and in mid-September on Lake Wittensee between Eckernförde and Rendsburg.
