Frontflip
Category: Jumps
Level of difficulty: Level 4 (from 4)
Special characteristics:
- this trick is a jump
Description
The front flip is a forward rotation when wingfoiling. The rotation takes place over the horizontal axis of the wing (over the strut) and not around the front of the wing.
The front tube (leading edge) of the wing points in the direction of travel when the jump is initiated. The wing is then steered under the body in windward direction. The rider rotates over the wing to the leeward side (over the strut, the wing is flying upside down at this moment).
If you are a windsurfer: the frontflip ist quite similar to a cheese roll (not a spin loop or forward loop).
