Tack

Pay attention to lean into the turn

When tacking dynamically, you can lean far into the turn because centrifugal force pushes your body weight onto the board. Strictly speaking, you actually have to lean into the turn because the mast of the foil and your body always form an axis when foiling. The tighter the radius, the more you need to lean back.

During the tack, the front arm pulls the wing toward the inside. The wing flies flat above the head to create as little air resistance as possible when riding against the wind. Only after about 3/4 of the turn do you pull the wing into a lower position to generate propulsion again. Immediately afterwards, you change your grip (rear hand reaches forward, front hand reaches backward).
