Upwind 360 backwinded

A foiled circle in upwind direction

The backwinded version of the upwind 360 is is a foiled circle in upwind direction. To do this, the wing is held backwinded after your turn into the wind.

The best way to do this is to hold the lower wing tip backwards (hold the center strut diagonally). This is the easierst way to control the power in the wing with the rear hand.

Use the power of the backwinded wing to keep on foiling during the second half of the circle.

When your are on a downwind course again, the power in the back-held wing decreases, so that trailing edge of the wing can easily be pushed through the wind. The center strut is also turned diagonally upwards again. Haul the wing an keep on foiling.

If you don't have enough speed, you can pump with the foil to keep on flying.

In this video with Stefan Spiessberger you can see exactly how the riding technique works.
