Description
The air jibe (also called backside air jibe) is originally a windsurfing move that has also been adopted for wing foiling. The air jibe is a jump that reverses the riding direction, in simple terms a combination of a jump and a jibe. This is why it is also called an air jibe.
The board is rotated 180 degrees during the jump. After landing, the wing is turned in the new direction and you can immediately take off again. If you do not change your foot position after landing, you will be standing on the board in switch stance.
