Description
The term duck jibe comes from windsurfing, where it refers to a jibe variant in which the rig is leaned forward during the turn and the rider ducks under the sails to the new side. That’s why it’s called duck jibe.
In wingfoiling, the term duck jibe refers to a jibe in which the leading edge of the wing is turned towards the water and then turned further in the new direction.
In comparison, the leading edge of the normal jibe is turned towards the sky and then further in the new direction.
